Procrastination Awareness Week (PAW)
Early March is National Procrastination Week. With generous support from the Learning Specialists Association of Canada (LSAC), staff from Writing Centres, Libraries, Accessible Learning Centres, and Learning Commons across Canada are working together to offer a week of workshops and connection to support students and increase our shared awareness and understanding of procrastination. Programming runs from Tuesday March 3rd to Thursday March 5th. Procrastination Awareness Week brings together some of the most popular and effective workshops from academic institutions across Canada. These presentations are offered free to all students, alongside resource sharing, and a national student panel, including the opportunity to hear from students from across all participating institutions.
The goals of PAW include:
- Increasing awareness about procrastination (what it is, how it happens, and how to work with it)
- Supporting students to set achievable learning/study goals
- Supporting students to develop effective academic habits
- Supporting students to make progress on their end-of-term to do list
- Connecting students with one another so that they can exchange tips and tricks
All students from the participating universities and colleges are invited to register, for free. All events will take place online. Links to each event will be emailed out to registered participants in advance of each day’s activities.
