PAW is a virtual event in which students from across Canada are invited – free of charge – to connect with each other and take part in the best student support programming that Canadian post-secondary institutions can provide. Last year it included over 30 institutions from across the country.
At this point, we are looking for expressions of interest in offering live workshops (50 minutes only). You are welcome to present an existing workshop or develop something new for the PAW audience. You can also open an existing virtual event at your institution to all PAW participants. The planning team is looking for programming in these topic areas: time management / planning, procrastination / motivation, learning strategies, academic integrity / citation, wellness / focus, and the writing process. There continues to be demand for workshops delivered in French and topics focused on neurodivergence, trauma-informed approaches to understanding procrastination, strategies for learning in an additional language, and any other topics related to supporting equity deserving groups.
If interest in offering a live workshops, submit an expression of interest by Wednesday, November 5:
If you are interested in advertising the event, but not presenting a workshop, please register here:
We will send out communications about the event in January 2026.We are also seeking people to assist with planning and implementing PAW 2026. This is a great way to work with a committed and engaged group of professionals from across the country! If you would like to be a part of the planning committee and assist with communication, scheduling, or live troubleshooting the week of the event, please contact Bethany Wiseman (wisemab@algonquincollege.com) for more information. The committee meets twice per month on Tuesdays at 10 am PST / 1 pm EST.
